David Devlin of Bozeman, Montana, has a distinguished career history in photography and cinematography. Early in his career, he worked primarily as a still photographer and achieved early success when he won the Kodak Medallion Award in 1987. He went on to pursue a wide range of projects as a cinematographer and director of photography. Regularly working with director Steven Spielberg, he has served as second unit director of photography on feature films including Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, The Terminator, Minority Report, Saving Private Ryan, and Amistad. Over the course of his career, David Devlin has also contributed to many well-known commercials and music videos.
Educated at New York University, David Devlin earned his bachelor of fine arts in film in 1990. Since establishing his career in the entertainment industry, he has achieved a number of awards for his work in cinematography. Most recently, he was nominated for the 2013 Best Cinematography Award at the Cameraimage Film Festival and for the 2013 Best Cinematography Award by MTV. In his personal life in Bozeman, Montana, he enjoys outdoors activities such as skiing.
